There was a time when watch had a calculator. Casio has recently introduced a hardcore looking smartwatch. The watch looks like a beast, a rough beast and it is not an ugly watch by any aspect. The watch has crushed the image of a typical image shiny and sophisticated smartwatch. The watch is called Smart Outdoor Watch-F10 is a watch to wear during camping, mountain biking or generally doing a tough nut job. Casio has specially tested the watch to the standards of US military. It is water resistant up to 50 meters.

The rough-looking watch bears a number of sensors; it can tell you the air pressure and altitude, sunrise and sunset times and tide graphs. You can also know the change in environment and your activity. It also has a compass, which surely comes handy when you are out in the wild camping. The watch has a 1.32 inches dual layer affair with a density of 320 X 300 pixel density. The watch has a battery that can last a day long, but, if you just use it Timepiece Mode, it can last a month long almost.

If you sync the Smart Outdoor Watch with the Casio Moment Setter + app for your phone, then you will get the statistics related to trekking, cycling or fishing. It means that if you need to meet a certain target in a day that you have set for yourself, this wonder of engineering from Casio will give you knowledge of how to do it.

It also has access to apps of different Android wearables, such as ViewRanger GPS app, RunKeeper or similar other applications. The watch is compatible with both the Android OS and iOS. In order to sync the watch with an Android phone, the phone must be running 4.3 or a higher version of the Android. On the other hand, the app can sync with an iPhone running iOS 8.2 or higher.

The unorthodox smartwatch costs $500 that can be your camping partner. The watch is not available on the shelves for buyers yet. The watch will be able for US users in April this year. Buyers residing in Japan will be able to get this watch on their wrist during sometime in March. It will be available in different colors and a number of original watch faces for rough and everyday use.
