More news regarding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7!

More News Samsung Galaxy S7

I had reported in a previous article that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone would probably be unveiled somewhere in February of 2016. As this date is getting nearer, more news is coming forward about the device which is already considered by many to be a major hit in the market.

South Korea’s Electronic Times reported on Monday that Samsung plans an initial production run of about 5 million units of its upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone. The report said that Samsung plans to initially make 3.3 million units of the flat-screen version of the Galaxy S7 and around 1.6 million units of the curved-screen one.

The paper also gave some specifics about the design of the upcoming smartphone. The paper reported that the flat-screen version would be about 5.2-inches in length while the curved one would be about 5.5-inches. The newspaper cited unnamed sources in its report.

According to a report on SamMobile, Samsung would be releasing two different variants of its Samsung Galaxy S7, one featuring its own Exynos 8890 chipset and another variant will run the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820.

SamMobile also reported that the Galaxy S7 will use a specialized variant of the Snapdragon 820 with thermal heat pipes, due to the processors’ possible over-heating issues. The S7 will also come with a Type-C USB port like Google Nexus series and OnePlus 2 smartphone. Witch such major changes underway, it’s not wrong to expect that Samsung Galaxy S7 would be a major hit, just like its predecessors.
